PRINCETON: 90-year-old man on scooter crashes into back of dump truck, suffers only minor injuries

A 90-year-old man was injured when he fell off the scooter he was riding after it struck the back of a Mack truck on Cherry Hill Road shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Princeton Police Department.
William F. Otis, Jr., 90, of Princeton, was traveling south on Cherry Hill Road on a scooter when he hit the rear of the truck, which was stopped in the southbound lane near Stuart Road, police said. The truck driver was delivering gravel at a nearby construction site.
Mr. Otis fell from the scooter and suffered minor head, arm and leg injuries, police said. He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton by the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad.
Richard Gares, 47, of Easton, Pa., was driving the Mack truck that belongs to GH Trucking of Asbury. He was not injured.
Cherry Hill Road was closed for more than two hours, between Stuart Road and Cherry Valley Road. It was reopened at 12:38 p.m. The accident remains under investigation, police said. 
