Library has programs for kids, adults in July

The Eastern Branch Library is offering programs for children and adults during July at 1001 Route 35, Shrewsbury. Some programs require registration by visiting the library or calling 866-941-8188.

 “Silkscreen T-Shirts” for children in grades 6 and up will be at 5:30 p.m. July 7. Design colorful T-shirts. Bring your own plain 100 percent white cotton T-shirt. Registration is required.

 “Jewelry Workshop for Teens” for children in grade 6 and up will be at 6 p.m. July 9. Learn to wire wrap a lovely gemstone or glass bead to make a pendant that will look great with any outfit. Registration is required.

 A “Book Discussion: ‘Dear Life’ by Alice Munro” will be at 10 a.m. July 15, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. July 16. Discuss this collection of stories, set in the countryside and towns of Lake Huron.

 “English Conversation Classes” will be held on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. July 16, 23 and 30. Learn English to help you at work, home and in the community. Meet and speak with others who are learning English. All classes are free.
