Talk to explore historic Shore impressions

The Little Silver Public Library will host author Margaret Buchholz, who will present, “Down the Jersey Shore,” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, at 484 Prospect Ave.

Buchholz will also discuss her book, “Shore Chronicles,” which is a collection of 50 accounts of visits to the Jersey Shore between 1764 and 1955. The book includes writings by well-known figures, such as John J. Audubon, Walt Whitman, Robert Louis Stevenson, Stephen Crane and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and the impressions of ordinary people who have traveled along New Jersey’s 127-mile coastline.

Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase at this free event. For more information, contact the library at 732-747-9649.
