Film premiere will boost arts council

The Monmouth County Arts Council will host the premiere of Woody Allen’s film “To Rome with Love” on June 21 at 3:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Clearview Cinema, 36 White St., Red Bank. A reception will be held at the Art Alliance of Monmouth County, 33 Monmouth St., Red Bank, at 5:30 p.m. Food will be provided by Surf Taco.

The film and reception is being sponsored by Surf Taco and Springpoint Senior Living Foundation. Springpoint Senior Living Foundation’s mission is to inspire generosity in support of programs that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives as they age, and enrich the communities where they live, according to a press release.

The Springpoint Senior Living Foundation is the community outreach and philanthropic arm of Springpoint Senior Living.

Surf Taco has eight restaurants in Monmouth and Ocean counties, mixing fresh California-Mexican food with a surf vibe and visual and performing arts.

Tickets for the film only are $10. Tickets for the film and reception are $35 for Monmouth Arts members and $45 for nonmembers. Proceeds from the event will benefit the community arts programs of the Monmouth County Arts Council.

“To Rome with Love,” written and directed by Woody Allen, is a story about a number of people in Italy, some American, some Italian, some residents, some visitors, and the romances and adventures and predicaments they get into. The film stars Woody Allen, Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penelope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig and Ellen Page.
