Stanley A. Szymanski
Mr. Szymanski, 82, of Barnegat, died Nov. 19, 2006, of injuries resulting from an automobile accident in North Carolina. Born in Jersey City, he lived there until moving to Barnegat 15 years ago. Mr. Szymanski worked as a core driller for the Philip J. Healey Co., Jersey City, for 40 years before retiring in 1986. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and the Marine Corps during World War II, surviving Iwo Jima with the 5th Division. He served again in the Marine Corps as a reservist during the Korean War. Mr. Szymanski was predeceased by his wife, Harriet, in 1986; and siblings Walter, Teresa Lasiewski and Jean Jodzio. His companion of 20 years, Dorothy Fischer, also died in the automobile accident. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Keiren of Freehold, and Thomas and Linda of Bayonne; two daughters, Barbara Criaris of Yardville and Carolyn Petersel of Manalapan; a sister, Stella Ciborowski of Whiting; and eight grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown. The Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.
Natalie Zuk
Mrs. Zuk, 80, of Freehold died Nov. 6, 2006, at home. Born in Plains, Pa., she resided in Freehold for the past 48 years. She worked as a seamstress for Sport Coat Factory and was also employed by Lazer Save, Freehold. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Mrs. Zuk was predeceased by her husband, Alexander in 1992. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Maureen of Belmar; a daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Robert Niemeyer of Steamwood, Ill.; two sisters, Elizabeth Carrie and Irene Verhanovitz, both of Michigan; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main St., Freehold. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
Patrick Vincent Lepore
Mr. Lepore, 82, of Freehold Township, died Nov. 8, 2006, at home. Born in Newark, he resided in Union before moving to Freehold Township 30 years ago. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard during World War II. Mr. Lepore was a graduate of Seton Hall University, South Orange. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Ann Johnstone Lepore; four sons, Vincent Lepore of Long Branch, Walter Lepore of Howell Township, Patrick Lepore of Freehold Township, and Kevin Lepore of Massachusetts; a daughter, Cindy Lepore of Hope; a sister, Josephine Lepore of Edison; and two grandchildren. Services were under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center St., Freehold. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Veronica’s Church, Howell Township, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
