RED BANK — The Westside Community Group is getting ready to spruce up Shrewsbury Avenue for the holidays. For the past eight years, he Westside Community Group has decorated Shrewsbury Avenue with wreaths on lamp posts and put lights on the tree at the pocket park at the corner of Drs. James Parker Boulevard and Shrewsbury Avenue.
The wreaths need to be refurbished, and new ones need to be purchased. The group is asking for donations for the wreaths and for new banners that will be hung along Shrewsbury Ave.
Businesses have the option of having their names imprinted on the banners with a donation of $150 or more. All other contributions will go toward banners with a “Happy Holidays” message, ornaments for the wreaths, and the cost of installing both.
