Women’s Leadership Summit holds seminar

The Women’s Leadership Summit will present the seminar “Striving for Balance” on Nov. 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency, 2 Albany St., New Brunswick.

This annual seminar is focused on inspiring, educating and connecting women in business. The keynote speaker will be television journalist, motivational speaker and author Jennifer Lewis-Hall. She is the host and executive producer of her own weekly public affairs show on Greater Media’s Magic 98.3 FM, “Life Advice with Jennifer Lewis-Hall.” Lewis-Hall stresses the importance of living well and enjoying the journey.

Other speakers include Cheryl Connors, Esq., who will discuss women in transition and how to gain independence after divorce or the death of a spouse. Connie Ellis will talk about the essentials of effective leadership and identify underutilized leadership skills. Kate Sweeney will focus on teaching children and grandchildren sound financial values. Nidhi Kumar, M.D. will discuss the growing epidemic of cardiac disease in women, strategies for weight loss, and tips to obtain a healthy body.

Other topics include “Communication Effectiveness: Have Greater Influence and Impact”; “Managing the Sandwich Years”; “Build, Market and Leverage the Brand ‘You’ Today!”; and “10 Updates, Stories and Tips to Supercharge Your Social Media Strategy.”

There will also be a health and wellness expo, health screenings, and advice on how to lead a less stressful and more fulfilled life. Seminar participants may bring gently used business clothing for men and women. All clothing will be donated to the Hire Attire program, which provides garments to men and women entering the workforce.
