Cavan Brunsden, D.M.D., and Nancy Villa, D.M.D., of KidZdent, 2455 Route 516, Old Bridge, will participate in the Give Kids A Smile program, offering free preventive and emergency dental care for underprivileged children ages 12 and under in a one-day event set for Feb. 3.
The program is part of National Children’s Dental Health Month, the American Dental Association’s annual push to bring attention to the No. 1 childhood disease: tooth decay.
Children who come to KidZdent on Feb. 3 will receive a comprehensive dental examination, oral health-care instruction, fluoride treatments, radiographs and free dental-hygiene materials including toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss. In addition, emergency dental care will be provided, if necessary.
Since the inception of the program in 2003, more than 25,000 children in New Jersey have received more than $4 million in donated dental care as a result of the Give Kids A Smile event.
