The Department of Jewish Studies in the School ofArts and Sciences at Rutgers University New Brunswick is now offering a master’s degree program in Jewish studies. The program focuses on Jewish history, the Bible, Jewish literature and cultural studies, religious studies, and Yiddish and Israel studies. The program was established, in part, through an award from the School of Arts and Sciences Entrepreneurial Program. Students may pursue the master’s degree part time.
The department also offers a certificate in Jewish Studies to students enrolled in master’s- and doctoral-level programs at Rutgers, including degree candidates in professional programs such as library and information science education and social work, along with those seeking a master’s and doctorate degrees in the humanities and social sciences programs.
