Tickets available for St. Stan’s Ham Dinner

  • The St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish Ham Dinner will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Nov. 14 in the cafeteria at St. Stan’s School, MacArthur Avenue.
  • The event will be catered by Buddies Tavern, Parlin section of Sayreville. Menu items will include baked ham, mashed potatoes, vegetables, kielbasa and sauerkraut, Swedish meatballs, cole slaw, bread and butter, beverages and homemade desserts.

    Donation is $14 for adults, $10 for children. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Order deadline is Nov. 10. Takeout orders will be available.

    St. Lawrence Knights

    sets pancake breakfast

    St. Lawrence Knights of Columbus Council No. 10281 will sponsor a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon on Nov. 14 in the St. Lawrence Parish Center, Laurence Parkway, Laurence Harbor section of Old Bridge.

    The menu will include pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice and coffee.

    Cost is $5 per person for adults, $3 for children ages 12 and under.

    sets Holiday Book Sale

    The Friends of the Old Bridge Public Library will sponsor its annual Holiday Book Sale from 2-5 p.m. on Nov. 12, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 13, and 12:30-4 p.m. on Nov. 14 at the Old Bridge Main Library, Route 516 and Cottrell Road.

    Many books suitable for gift-giving will be available. All items will be sold at discounted prices.

    Columbiettes to sponsor

    trip to Lancaster outlets

    St. Bartholomew’s Columbiettes will sponsor a Nov. 6 bus trip to the Rockvale Square and Tanger outlets in Lancaster, Pa.

    The bus will depart at 7:30 a.m. from St. Bartholomew’s Church, Ryders Lane, East Brunswick. Return will be at approximately 8:30 p.m.

    Cost is $25 per person and includes bus transportation, a continental breakfast and snacks.

    Paley Quartet to appear

    in swing music concert

    The Old Bridge Public Library, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, will present the Norm Paley Quartet in a concert of swing music beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 6.

    Admission to the concert is free of charge. Registration is not required. The public is welcome.
