JACKSON – A Jersey City man who was believed to have been involved in the armed robbery of two Jackson residents turned himself in to police after more than a week on the lam.
According to Jackson Police Capt. Steven Laskiewicz, the robbery occurred at about 11:30 p.m. July 28 when a man arrived at a home on White Road and saw a male acquaintance of his being held down and robbed by a group of men.
Police said the individual who arrived at the home and saw what was occurring attempted to leave the area, but was stopped on the driveway, held at gunpoint and robbed. Police have not disclosed the names of the two men who were robbed.
An investigation was initiated and police said Joseph Pedicini, 18, and Jordan Gastgaber, 18, both of Jackson, were taken into custody on July 29 as a result of their alleged involvement in the incident.
On Aug. 4, a male teenager from Jackson was taken into custody for his alleged role in the robbery, according to police.
Gastgaber, Pedicini and the teenager were each charged with armed robbery, armed burglary and conspiracy.
Bail for Gastgaber and Pedicini was set at $75,000 each. Gastgaber posted bail and was released. Pedicini did not immediately post bail and he was placed in the Ocean County Jail, Toms River.
Police said that the teenager who was arrested in connection with the robbery had an outstanding violation of probation warrant. Based on all the circumstances, the young man was processed and placed in the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center in Toms River.
Police said a fourth individual, Terik “Reek OG” Wiggins, 22, turned himself in on the evening Aug. 5 and was charged with robbery in connection with the July 28 incident. His bail was set at $500,000 with no 10 percent option. Wiggins was placed in the Ocean County Jail, Toms River.
Laskiewicz said although Wiggins has an address in Jersey City, police believe he was staying in the Willow Point section of Jackson.
