Mrs. McClarty, 89, of Jackson, died Feb. 27, 2013, at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. Prior to retiring she was employed for five years as a telephone operator at Engelhard Industries, Newark. Before that, she worked for Remco Industries, Harrison, for 20 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Calvin O. McClarty; a brother, Edward L. Hickey; a sister, Genevieve Sauer; and a daughter, Patricia Demko. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Bernadette and Andrew Rizzo of Jackson, Deborah and Robert Repka of Edison, and Teresa and Joseph Golomb of Ohio; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Louise McClarty of Metuchen, and Dennis and Keli McClarty of South Carolina; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a greatgreat grandchild. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson. Interment was in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Arrangements were by the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson.
