Mr. Cossaboom, 76, of Brielle, died Sept. 11, 2012, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick Township. He was the son of the late Dr. Ralph Forman Hobart Cossaboom and Dorothy Bennett Brown Cossaboom. He was the grandson of Dr. Harvey Brown, a prominent Freehold physician. Mr. Cossaboom served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves from 1959-1965. He was a graduate of Rutgers University and the University of Wyoming, where he earned a master’s degree. He spent a lifetime in media relationships after starting in journalism at the Freehold Transcript and retiring from C.D. Publication, Silver Spring, Md. Surviving are longtime friends Lucy Lewykin of Freehold Township, and Joseph C. Tomlinson and his wife, Nancy, and daughters Jeannie and Lorrie, of Point Pleasant Beach. Graveside services were held at the Old Brick Reformed Church Cemetery, Marlboro. Arrangements were by the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
