If you’re looking for something different during your visit to the Monmouth County Fair, this is the year for you. Dog lovers will get a thrill out of the Dock Dogs. Cheer these amazing animals on as they jump, splash and swim across the pool.
The fair runs today through July 29 at the East Freehold Showgrounds, Kozloski Road, Freehold Township.
The fair is open 5-11 p.m. through Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
On July 25 through July 27, head to the Adventure Zone. Hell on Wheels BMX Stunt Show and the E3 Skateboarding Stunt Show will fill spectators with excitement. View birds of prey with Raptor Project – Birds of Prey. Take a shot and make a goal with Howell Ice World. And get a chance to try your skills at paintball with Shoot the Goon.
This year’s Kids Zone is more than just the races on July 28. Have fun and cool off with the Splash Zone or enjoy nature with displays, demonstrations and crafts at the Nature Zone. Kids can even pick up a club with a bit of mini golf.
Sunday at the fair always brings fantastic cars with the Antique Auto Show, but this year offers even more excitement with the Auto Zone. The Roadway Obstacle Course will send kids on an adventure racing big wheels through twists and turns of fun. Make sure to see if your car wins during the Toy Car Races and follow the clues with a Scavenger Hunt.
Last but not least, all of this year’s musical entertainment on the Main Stage is brand new: July 25 at 8:30 & 9:30 p.m.: Amish Outlaws, July 26 at 8:30 & 9:30 p.m.: Brian Kirk & the Jirks, July 27 from 9-10:30 p.m.: Thunder 106.3 presents Jaida Dreyer, July 28 at 8:30 & 9:30 p.m.: Slippery When Wet (Bon Jovi cover band) and July 29 at noon & 1:30 p.m.: 3D Ritmo de Vida
Many old favorites will be back again this year: Robinson’s Racing Pigs, Bwana Jim’s Wildlife Show, Tommie Turvey Equine Extremist, and others And of course let’s not forget the 4-H exhibits, home & garden competitions, Park System interactive displays, rides, games, and food.
