Annual art show features seniors’ work
   The Mercer County Office on Aging and the Division of Culture and Heritage will present its annual Mercer County Senior Art Show, July 18 through Aug. 2 at the Meadow Lakes Retirement Community off Route 571 East in East Windsor.
   The show will feature original works created within the last three years, from drawings to paintings to crafts, by Mercer County residents age 60 or older.
   The exhibit is free and open to the public from Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A closing reception will be held Aug. 3, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
   At the closing reception, winners will be chosen in each of the following categories: acrylic, craft, computer imagery, drawing, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography (including digital), print, sculpture and watercolor. Each winner will move on to the statewide competition in October, the New Jersey Senior Citizen Art Show.

Bluegrass at Princeton Shopping Center
   The Riverside Bluegrass Band will play a concert at the Princeton Shopping Center, 6-8 p.m.
   The show is part of the Summer Courtyard Concert Series, presented by The Arts Council of Princeton and Princeton Shopping Center. The Riverside Bluegrass Band plays traditional bluegrass tunes, as well as bluegrass versions of pop and country hits by such artists as the Beatles, the Byrds, Steve Earle, Ricky Skaggs, Buddy Miller and more.
   The concert series will conclude on July 26 with a concert by Amazin’ Grace and the Grace Little Band on July 26.
   The Princeton Shopping Center is located at 301 N. Harrison St. in Princeton.

Yoga at Morven
   Morven Museum & Garden will present a “Yoga in the Garden” program, beginning at noon.
   Morven promises that its garden provides a peaceful atmosphere where all yoga-lovers are welcome.
   Explore the benefits of taking your practice out of the studio with Gemma Farrell of Gratitude Yoga. Gemma is a long-time yoga practitioner, and one of Princeton’s most popular yoga instructors.
   This event is free and open to the public of all ages and skill levels. Bring a yoga mat, towel, and bottle of water.

Ice cream progeram at Trent House
   Food historian Susan McLellan Plaisted will host a program about Ice Cream in the 18th Century at the Trent House, beginning at 1 p.m.
   Ms. Plaisted will demonstrate harvesting of ice and molding of ice cream, using 18th century flavors and techniques. The event includes a guided tour of the 1719 William Trent House Museum.
   The museum is located at 15 Market St. in Trenton. Admission costs $5, $4 seniors and children.
