Over the last year we’ve used this column to outline how we’re “Creating a New Experience” at Bayshore Community Hospital. We’ve highlighted our new leadership team, a number of new initiatives for nurses and team members to encourage professional growth, the introduction of more than 130 new physicians to the medical staff, the expansion of the Women’s Center, and the new Concierge Care program to further deliver on the brand promise to provide the best health care experience. In addition, we highlighted the significant changes that were made behind the scenes that were operational in nature, enhancing process improvements, as well as the very visible changes including: the new channel letters on the front of the hospital, new signage, and new landscaping throughout our campus.
We touched upon “Creating a New Experience” for kids through the opening of the new Pediatric Care Center, an affiliate of K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. We discussed how Bayshore opened a new Center for Bariatrics to better serve the communities and featured several strategies and programs based upon expanding and improving upon specialty services at Bayshore including Sleep and Wound Care. We’ve also made significant advancements in cardiovascular services, with plans to build two new heart and vascular labs in the very near future.
As you can see, we’ve been busy the past two years. We’ve changed from the ground up. I truly believe to be the best of the best in health care takes a keen understanding of an organization from top to bottom and a never-ending commitment to deliver the highest quality of care possible to the patients and their families. We can continue on in this mission with your continued support. We are committed to providing the best care for your family, now and well into the future. Stay tuned for even more changes as “This is only the beginning…”
