RUMSON — The Rumson-Fair Haven High School Foundation’s annual fall fundraiser will feature live music provided by Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School students and teachers.
This year’s event will be held 6:30-9:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at The Raven and the Peach restaurant on River Road in Fair Haven. Hearty appetizers and refreshments will be served while guests enjoy music by RFH students as well as teachers Jim Barbiere and Darren Beatty, accompanied by Doug Newsome. The festivities will also include the popular “Deal or No Deal” game, complete with valuable prizes, a silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $75, and all proceeds will go toward funding educational grants for Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School. The RFH High School Foundation has recently funded many projects and amenities, including new firing kilns ceramics classes, student activities hosted by the high school library, new tables for the wood shop class, and a redesign of the school’s website. The foundation also provided funding for a presentation by Dr. Michael Fowlin of The World Is My Stage productions, who spoke to students about personal identity and violence prevention. Larger capital campaigns run by the foundation have included funding for the high school’s language and high-tech labs.
