HOWELL — The Howell Township Council has renewed the liquor licenses of four businesses in the community.
At a meeting in August, the council approved the license renewals for the fiscal year 2015-16.
In its resolution approving the license renewals, the council said that all of the applications were in order and that the license holders had paid the required license fees. In addition, the council said no written objections had been received against any license holder.
The following licenses were renewed:
Adelphia 72 Corp. (Lorenzo’s Restaurant, 72 Adelphia Road)
Guru Management Inc. (Scooter’s Family Restaurant, 6782 Route 9 South)
IR Mowla Operations Inc. (Our House Tavern, 420 Adelphia Road)
JD&L Inc. (Mulligan’s, 203 Squankum Road).
In other action at the meeting, the council passed resolutions having to do with Howell’s 2015 road program.
The council appropriated $1.85 million for road milling and overlays; $1.99 million for full depth reclamation work on various roads; and $520,498 for work on Kent Road.
The milling and overlay contract was awarded to Lucas Brothers, Morganville; the full depth reclamation contract was awarded to Stavola Contracting Company, Tinton Falls; and the Kent Road contract was awarded to Meco Inc., Millstone Township.
