Pam Hoberman, recently retired from POP preschool in Marlboro, has joined with Wendy Feinberg-Kotula, also from POP, to create Calm Kids R Cool. Calm Kids R Cool is a weekly 90-minute session that combines music, art, yoga, games, guided imagery, puppets, role playing and stories to give children the ability to relax their minds and bodies, be in better control of their reactions, and develop the self-confidence that promotes good self-esteem. Calm Kids R Cool meets for five-week cycles. Each cycle will contain new experiences and techniques for improving relaxation, lessening fear and worry, lessening impulsivity and creating a happier and calmer child. If your child has fears about real or imaginary things, has nightmares, seems to act without thinking of consequences or danger, or has an active style of play, then Calm Kids R Cool may be for you. Contact Pam at [email protected] or Wendy at [email protected] for more information or visit www.CalmKidsRCool.com.
