OceanFirst Bank is once again reaching out to its surrounding communities for the holiday season. In an effort to answer the holiday wishes of children across Ocean, Monmouth and Middlesex counties, the bank is participating in The Salvation Army’s Angel Giving Tree program.

From Nov. 27 through Dec. 11, every OceanFirst Bank branch will have a holiday tree in its lobby adorned with angel tags. Each tag will display the age and gender of a child whose family is being served by The Salvation Army. Customers and members of the public are welcome to take a tag, purchase a gift and return it with the tag attached, to their local OceanFirst Bank. The Salvation Army asks that all gifts be new and unopened.

Brian Dubey of Howell has joined Amper, Politziner and Mattia, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, as a manager in the firm’s audit and accounting group. He has more than eight years of experience in public accounting. Dubey earned his bachelor of science degree in accounting and master of business administration degree from Monmouth University, West Long Branch. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.

A free workshop for local business owners will be held at the Western Monmouth Chamber of Commerce, Dec. 7-8. The workshop, “6 Steps to a Better Business,” teaches business owners how to create a business that works for them.

The workshop will be presented by local business owner Susan Koval, a certified business coach with Action International.
