Tastefully Simple consultant Michele Fee of Howell attended the company’s leadership conference in Orlando, Fla., in January. The leadership conference is an event exclusively for those who have recruited and mentored new consultants. It features awards, events and training seminars as well as entertainment. Park Avenue Hair Design, Howell, will hold a Service Day of Beauty on Feb. 15 to donate proceeds for the sake of humanity through the American Red Cross/Jersey Coast Chapter. The idea for the event was conceived by staff members of the salon, which has been in operation for 18 years, who wanted to help victims of the earthquake in Haiti. All are welcome to attend. Cartridge Renewal Systems, Manalapan, is collecting used greeting cards from all occasions to benefit St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. The children use the front of the cards and attach a new back, then resell them. Burlington Coat Factory in Freehold Township is collecting donations to support the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund. Monetary donations will be accepted at the store, 3684 Route 9 north, and at any of the more than 430 Burlington Coat Factory stores nationwide. Donations to the American Red Cross will support emergency relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake. Assistance provided by the American Red Cross may include sending relief supplies, mobilizing relief workers and providing financial resources. Donations will be collected through Feb. 17.

Kiddie Academy of Freehold, 89 Village Center Drive, will host open house days from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 6 and Feb. 20. All prospective students enrolled at the open house will receive a $600 tuition credit and a waived registration fee, a $60 value. Parents are invited to visit the center and meet the owners and the director and to learn about the staff and curriculum.
