Seniors sought to share interests with youngsters

The “Generation Connection” is looking for seniors who enjoy spending time with children. The “Generation Connection” is a school-based senior volunteer program where senior citizens from the local community come into the schools and work with children of various ages in a variety of activities. The program, housed in the Manalapan-English-town schools, provides opportunities for senior volunteers to work with children by tutoring, providing assistance to children in various subject areas, and spending time with the children during lunch. The lunch-time workshops allow seniors and youngsters to share hobbies, games, crafts, conversation and interests.
