Families Thru International Adoption, a not-for-profit child placement agency, will hold a free seminar on adoption, Dec. 11 from 7-8:30 p.m., at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.
FTIA specializes in international adoptions, placing children from seven countries including China, Russia, Guatemala and Brazil. Interested future parents will gain a better understanding of the international adoption process, including how long the adoption process takes, the steps that must be completed in order to adopt internationally, costs involved in adopting from various countries, a general overview of cultural differences involved when adopting from abroad, and information on the children available for adoption.
