Happy Days String Band
seeks new members
The Happy Days String Band, led by band director Bernie Miles, is looking for new members. The band is a nonprofit organization that plays Philadelphia Mummers-style standards, big band, traditional and popular music. The 60-member band is 30 years old and consists of accordions, banjos drums, clarinets, saxophones, violins, glockenspiels, upright bass guitars, and bass guitar, and colorful costumed strutters and a master of ceremonies. Rehearsals are held every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Neptune Firehouse on Brighton Avenue. For more information, call (732) 747-6573.
