Mr. Prater, 51, of Plainsboro, formerly of Jamesburg, died May 21, 2012, in Merwick Care Center, Plainsboro. He was predeceased by his father, John Lewis Prater, and by a sister, Sondra. Surviving are his mother, Mary Prater of East Brunswick; a brother, Fabian Daniels of Hillside; a sister, Lavette, and her husband, Franklin, of East Brunswick; his grandmothers, Mary Daniels of Newark and Able Lou Prater of Miami; and many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Frost Woods Memorial Cemetery, also East Brunswick.
