RiverFest 2013 will return to Red Bank May 31 to June 2. With free admission for festival goers, the outdoor food and music festival will be held at Marine Park.
There will be a wide range of culinary choices, with 21 area restaurants and caterers serving dishes — from old favorites to new gourmet creations.
At the heart of the festival, RiverFest will showcase local and regional jazz and blues musicians. This year’s lineup includes JoBonanno & The Godsons of Soul, Motor City Revue, Brian Kirk & The Jirks, and The Jazz Lobsters.
With the help of sponsor M&S Waste Services, the festival will be a “zero waste” event, and all vendors and participants will be encouraged to recycle. Recyclable containers for food, oil, plastic, cardboard and more will be provided.
RiverFest began in 1980 as a festival celebrating local restaurants in Red Bank by restaurateurs Danny Murphy and Rick Bott.
The event is organized by the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce. For more information, contact the chamber at 732-741- 005 or visit www.redbankriverfest.org.
