MANVILLE Antoinette S. Franzoso died Tuesday, June 17, at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. She was 84.
Born in Scranton, Pa., she had been a Manville resident for the past 82 years.
Mrs. Franzoso worked for 17 years at Johns-Manville Corporation in Manville. She then became a homemaker.
She was an active member of Sacred Heart Church and the Altar Rosary Society. She was a volunteer, always making time to volunteer at the carnival and making pierogi to support the church.
She was an active member of the Manville Fire Department, Fire Company No. 2 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Top Hatters, a local ladies club.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph Franzoso; one daughter, Angie Lasch of Griggstown; one sister, Kathryn Gibus of Bridgewater; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral was held June 20 from the Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville followed by a Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Manville. Entombment was in St. Bernard Cemetery, Bridgewater.
