Kareen Wyda, 32, of South Main Street was charged with obstruction and hindering apprehension at 8:50 a.m. June 16.
Police reported that they were looking for a fugitive living outside Manville and Ms. Wyda assisted that individual in avoiding police. Police did not release more information.
She was released after the charges were filed.

Piotr Zgrzywa, 37, of South 14th Avenue was charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident failure to report a motor vehicle accident, having no insurance on the vehicle and reckless driving at 7:58 p.m., June 17, after police responded to a report that a driver in a black pickup truck had struck a fence on North 14th Avenue.
According to police, Mr. Zgrzywa stumbled and hit his head on the police car parked causing some damage to the door of the vehicle.
Mr. Zgrzywa’s truck was towed and impounded and Mr. Zgrzywa was turned over to his sister-in-law after the charges were filed.

A 16-year-old Manville juvenile was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance when police saw a group of juveniles leaving a wooded area off Dukes Parkway and North 10th Avenue at 8:10 p.m. June 18.

The juvenile was released to a parent.

Three minors, all 17-years-old, were charged with underage possession of alcohol at 12:55 a.m. June 19 on Colorado Avenue.
They were turned over to their respective parents after the charges were filed.

At 11:30 a.m., June 19, a dark blue cell phone valued at $150 was reported stolen. The theft occurred sometime within the last two weeks from a truck parked on North Main Street. The serial number of the phone is unknown.

A gray Motorola cell phone, model number VP120E, valued at $30 was reported lost by a South 8th Avenue resident at 8:40 p.m., June 19.

Wendy L. D’Ambrosio, 37, of South Main Street was charged with possession of cocaine at 1:06 p.m., June 20, after police stopped her because her brake lights appeared to be faulty.
She was released on her own recognizance after the charge was filed.

Adrian M. Dziwak, 19, of South 11th Avenue was charged with underage possession of alcohol.
Mr. Turton and Mr. Dziwak were given summonses and released on their own recognizance.

A Manville resident reported that he was struck by a silver Ford Escape while crossing the access road at 8:36 p.m., June 20.
The vehicle did not stop. The resident was not seriously hurt and was able to provide the license plate number of the vehicle.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Lisa Wall, 41, of Roosevelt Avenue was charged with disorderly conduct after police responded to two complaints by neighbors.
The first incident occurred at 3:22 a.m., June 21, when Ms. Wall broke the door and entered the apartment of a Roosevelt Avenue resident, and the second at 4:05 a.m. that morning, when she was yelling in the back yard of this same apartment building.
She was subsequently taken to the Somerset County Jail until June 23 when she appeared in court and was released.

of a shoplifter, a 15-year-old minor held in custody at 5:43 p.m., June 21, at the Wal-Mart on North Main Street.
The minor was charged with stealing two compact discs valued at $38.76. The juvenile was released to a parent.

A wallet containing a New Jersey driver’s license and personal papers was reported lost at 2:09 p.m., June 22. According to police, the wallet was lost sometime June 20, possibly along North 4th Avenue.

Kevin Switzer, 42, of South Main Street was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after police responded to an 8:20 a.m., June 23, report that a panhandler was outside the post office on Brooks Boulevard.
Mr. Switzer was incarcerated at the Somerset County Jail. Bail was set at $5,000.

A Ruth Place resident reported at 8:35 a.m., June 23, that a tail light taillight valued at $85 was stolen from a white 1984 Chevy pickup between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. that day.

A Martinsville resident reported a back wallet containing $100 was lost June 20 at Reading Cinema on North Main Street.
