   A South 9th Avenue resident reported a tire slashed on his 1990 Plymouth legally parked across from his home. The incident occurred between 7 p.m. Feb. 4 and 10:20 a.m., Feb. 5.
   The replacement tire was $52.

   A North Main Street resident reported his snowblower, valued at $595, was stolen from his backyard. He noticed it was gone at 4:36 p.m. Feb. 5.

   A Boesel Avenue resident reported hearing loud noises, which sounded like gunshots, around the 800 block of Boesel Avenue at 7:42 a.m. Feb. 6. A neighbor heard similar sounds.
   Police checked the area with no results.

   A Huff Avenue resident reported that a dump truck and pickup truck with "Franks" written on the trailer, dumped materials onto borough property by the soccer field on Huff Avenue at 4:24 p.m. Feb. 5.
   Police could not find the vehicles.

   A Kennedy Boulevard resident reported that sometime during the night of Feb. 7 a rock was thrown through his front window.
   The damage was estimated to be $35.

   Erin McMahon of North Plainfield was taken into custody at 10:29 p.m. Feb. 8 on an outstanding warrant, according to the police report.
   A warrant had been issued for Ms. McMahon from the Somerset County Police Department for violation of probation. Ms. McMahon was transported to the Somerset County Jail, pending an appearance in municipal court.

   A Valerie Drive resident reported three tires on her 2000 Ford Focus slashed sometime between 11 p.m. Feb. 7, and 9:30 a.m. Feb. 8.
   The replacements will cost about $250 total.

   A North 18th Street resident reported that an unknown person knocked down a metal porch light on his home between the hours of 11 a.m. Feb. 8 and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 9. The replacement is valued at $35.

   James Toy, 45, of Elizabeth was charged with shoplifting a computer valued at $498 from Wal-Mart at 6:24 p.m. Feb. 8.
   Bail was set at $1,500, and an additional $500 warrant from Watchung was found. Mr. Toy was released after posting a bond.
