Fred E. Lane Jr.

   WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — Fred E. Lane Jr., 71, died July 8 in Florida.
   Born and raised in Trenton, Mr. Lane lived there until moving his family to Robbinsville in 1967.
   He was active in the recreation programs in Robbinsville for many years, coaching baseball and softball. He retired as a lieutenant from the New Jersey State Police in 1985 and opened Video Lane in Hamilton until 1991.
   He was also very active in the Palm Grove Homeowners Association in Florida and was the founding member of its underground newsletter.
   Son of the late Fred E. Lane Sr. and Ella (Giordano) Lane and brother of the late Gordon J. Lane, he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris E. (Zazzo) Lane; four daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Charles DeLany, Audrey and Kevin Colgan, Barbara and Vincent Schillaci, and Debra and Robert Kochis; a son and daughter-in-law, Fred III and Stephanie Lane; nine grandchildren, Kevin Colgan, Jennifer Novonglosky, Jaime Bedard, Carla Novonglosky, Todd Schillaci, Christopher and Kimberly Kochis, and Travis and Jason Lane; one great-grandchild, Bryce Colgan; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathleen (Zazzo) and Angelo Mystrena; and several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
   A memorial service was held at the New Jersey State Police Division Headquarters, Trenton.

John W. Szabo

   HAMILTON — John W. Szabo, 51, died July 16 in St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in New Brunswick, he resided in Cream Ridge, moving to the Trenton-Yardville area 14 years ago.
   He was employed for the past 13 years for Cablevision of Hamilton. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Miller Memorial Presbyterian Church.
   John enjoyed motorcycles, trucks, fishing and hunting.
   Son of the late John Szabo, he is survived by a daughter, Tiffany Szabo of Yardville; his mother, Angelina Georgianna Szabo Halpin of Yardville; two brothers, Steven Szabo of Allentown and Billy George Halpin of Yardville; a sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and Dale Thomas of Jackson; a niece, Alysia Thomas; and a nephew, Dale Thomas Jr.
   Funeral was held at Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, Yardville.
   Burial was in Dayton Cemetery, Dayton.
Hazel Y. Carter
   JACKSON TOWNSHIP — Hazel Y. Carter, 88, died July 17 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood.
   Born in Patterson, she was a longtime resident of New Egypt before moving to Jackson 20 years ago.
   She was a housewife and a member of the Church of the Assumption in New Egypt.
   Wife of the late Donald Carter, she is survived by several good friends.
   Funeral was held at Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt.
   Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Trenton.
Yolanda Mary Notarianni
   EWING — Yolanda Mary Notarianni, 84, died July 18 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in Cosenza, Italy, she was a lifelong Ewing resident.
   She retired as a cashier after more than 40 years at Phillip’s Ewing Bazaar.
   She was a 50-year member of the Church of the Incarnation in Ewing.
   Daughter of the late Pietro and Angeline Barbiero Notarianni, she is survived by her husband of more than 64 years, Anthony S. Notaranni; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Sam and Diane Notarianni of New Egypt and Peter Notarianni of Yardville; two grandchildren, Angela Notarianni of Hamilton, and Samuel Notarianni Jr. of New Egypt; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Alyssa Notarianni of New Egypt; a special niece, Angela Fantini of Palmyra; and many other nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was held at Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, Ewing.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Church of the Incarnation, Ewing.
   Burial was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
