‘Alice in Wonderland’ celebrated

A celebration of the 150th anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carroll’s most famous book, “Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland,” will take place with a series of events in the Monmouth County Library System.

 Beginning Sept. 3, lobby showcases at the Eastern Branch Library, 1001 Route 35, Shrewsbury, will feature Alice’s dress, tea sets, a deck of cards, Cheshire cats and other figurines inspired by the book. Details: 866-941-8188.

 Alice in Wonderland: Down The Rabbit Hole will be presented at 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan. Details: 732-431-7220.

 A tea and Mad Hatter lecture will take place at 2 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Eastern Branch Library, 1001 Route 35, Shrewsbury. Details: 866-941-8188.
