Lone Bugler to attend local Memorial Day ceremonies

“Lone Bugler” Richard Pinter is preparing for his eighth annual 21 Performance Salute on Memorial Day week.
    Mr. Pinter – a retired Army First Sergeant – has been playing Taps at military funerals and other events for 38 years while serving in the military and eight years since his military retirement in 2000. This year’s schedule will start on May 19 and continue through May 31 with talks at local organizations, school and senior centers. Other performances will take place at local cemeteries and monuments to include Brigadier General Doyle Veterans Cemetery Wrightstown, Bordentown City and Township Veterans Monument ceremonies.
    The Lone Bugler will be performing at the following local locations:
    Saturday, May 24 – 11 a.m. Bordentown City Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown.
    Sunday, May 25 – 2:30 p.m. Sterling House Florence, 901 Broad Street, Florence.
    Memorial Day Monday, May 26 – 9 a.m. St. Mary’s Cemetery, 210 Crosswicks Road, Bordentown Township. Following the mass at cemetery chapel (large attendance expected).
    2 p.m. Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provenceline Road, Wrigtstown.
    4 p.m. Christ Church Cemetery, 130 Prince Street, Bordentown City.
    5 p.m. Crosswicks Cemetery, Crosswicks Hamilton Square Rd., Crosswicks.
    6 p.m. Bordentown Cemetery, 210 Crosswicks Rd., Bordentown Township.
    7 p.m. Bordentown Township Veterans Memorial Monument, 1 Municipal Dr., Bordentown Township. (large attendance expected)
    Tuesday, May 27 – 9:15 a.m. Life Center Academy, 2035 Columbus Road, Florence.
    Wednesday, May 28 – 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masonic Home of New Jersey, 902 Jacksonville Road, Burlington.
    Saturday, May 31 – 10:15 a.m. Wreath laying ceremony, McGuire Air Force Base, Flightline at B17.
