Candidate kits for the Board of Education election are now available, according to the district.
Residents that would like to run for the board in the upcoming election April 27 can pick up the kit during the week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the board offices at 231 Black Horse Lane.
There is a deadline to file a nominating petitions for candidates of 4 p.m. March 8, according to the district.
The kit is published by the New Jersey School Boards Association and includes legal information about serving on the panel.
Three seats currently belonging to Board President Dr. Matt Speesler, Arthur Robinson and Martin Abschutz are up for grabs during this election cycle, according to the district.
As of press time, none of those incumbents have picked the application kit up from the board office, spokesman Madeline Daniels said.
According to state guidelines, candidates must be able to read and write English, hold U.S. Citizenship be registered to vote in the township and have resided here for at least a year.
Potential candidates must also no interest in any contract or claim against the present board, or serve on the municipal governement.
