Fire Company No. 1 is still selling discount cards for eateries and businesses in town. The card is a fundraiser for the fireman to help them with the firehouse. The firemen will be out again this Saturday, March 5 at the Marketplace Place in Manville down by Frank’s Pizza end beginning at 9 a.m. to sell the cards.
”The local businesses want to help their business but we feel that this is a good marketing card in Manville to use the card to use the businesses in our community. It is Manville helping Manville and the proceeds go to the firehouse and the business goes to our businesses,” said fireman Ray Walsh.
By utilizing this card, those who purchase it are not only getting great discounts but they are also helping the fireman earn 85 percent for each one that is purchased.
The cards sell for $10 each and 85 percent of each card goes back to the fireman. Businesses on the card have specials for those who purchase a card. The card cannot be combined with any other coupons/offers and some restrictions may apply.
These special discounts include: Check Your Defensive Driving — Drop 2 Motor Vehicle points, 5 percent insurance discount, $10 off registration; Gattos Sports Café — All you can eat on Thursday night from 7 to 10 p.m. for $9.95 person; GNC, a 20 percent discount; Dunkin Donuts — 10 percent off your total purchase; Riverside Grill & Sandwiches — $1 off any purchase of $10 or more, 5 percent off for all students; and Jim’s Soft Pretzel — Salted or plain, buy three get one free.
More offers include: Manville Diner — 10 percent off $15 or over; Amy’s Hallmark — Tuesday is Senior Citizen Day and 10 percent off purchases; McDonald’s Manville — Buy one regular or breakfast menu sandwich get one free; Manville Pizza — 15 percent off $10 or more; Frank’s Pizza & Restaurant — 20 percent off dine-in, 10 percent off take out on food items only; Subway —10 percent off total purchase; The Hair House International — $10 off a European facial or basic pedicure; Drewby’s Grill Pub — 10 percent off price of food only; Arby’s Manville — BOGO Buy one Beef n Cheddar get one free; L.J.’s Boardwalk — 10 percent off any purchase; and Grub Hut —15 percent off $20 or more. The cards are valid until December 31, 2011.
