SOUTH BRUNSWICK: Town hosts annual Jewish culture celebration

By Ed Birch, Special Writer
The fourth annual Rejoice Festival, billed as a Jewish Music and Cultural Festival, was held Sept. 18 at Woodlot Park in Kendall Park.
The festival drew upwards of 500 people, according to organizers.
Musical groups entertained the crowd all day ranging from the Congregation B’nai Tikvah "Sons of Tikvah" in-house volunteer band under the direction of Cantor Bruce Rockman, to many other acts from the region.
The Moma Doni Band from North Jersey entertained attending children.
Local Chabad groups from North Brunswick and South Brunswick circulated among the crowd to spread their religious words and customs.
Many food vendors manned locations offering kosher foods and deserts. Local synagogues and organizations manned tables in the exhibit area.
The event was chaired by Congregation B’nai Tikvah founding member Aaron Rosloff. All musical events were coordinated through Cantor Bruce Rockman, the founder of the Sons of Tikvah project, and Event Musical Engineer Marty Angstrieich.
Major sponsors of the event were Congregation B’nai Tikvah, The Jewish Federation of Greater Middlesex, and the New Jersey Council on the Arts.
