The Schola Cantorum Youth Choir of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 17 Oak Ave., Metuchen, and LDY (Let’s Dance Yeshua) St. Luke’s liturgical dance company, will hold a rehearsal and open house 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 19.
The Schola Cantorum (school singing) is an auditioned choir, open to children and teens in grades 3-12, with firstand second-graders taken on an individual basis. The Schola is an interfaith choir; choristers need not be members of St. Luke’s. The choir sings on the first Sunday of each month, and at other liturgically significant services.
LDY is in its first year, and the open house marks it inaugural rehearsal. The dance troupe is open to children and teens in grades K-12, and will perform at various liturgically significant services.
