To the editor:
Like most people, I want to leave my children and future generations a better world, so I’m not letting corruption by Big Money and secret dark funds stand in the way of the issues that matter to me. That’s why I joined our local Represent.Us committee last year.
Next week our committee is hosting a free screening of "Pricele$$," filmmaker Steve Cowan’s award-winning documentary on how campaign money from deep-pocketed special interests influence elections and national policies. That will be immediately followed by a Q&A with this year’s congressional candidates in New Jersey 12th district. They will be there asking for your votes and it’s on us to keep them accountable!
Here are the details:"Pricele$$ and the Fight for Campaign Finance Reform," Princeton Public Library Community Room, Thursday, October 30, 7-9 p.m. (doors open at 6:30). This event is free and open to the public but you can register at this website: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/pricele-and-the-fight-for-campaign-finance-reform-tickets-13462281045.
Mayor Liz Lempert will be there to greet us. All citizens and voters in Princeton and surrounding communities should plan to attend this important community event.
