EDISON — The Wardlaw-Hartridge (W-H) School has announced its “Imagine” capital campaign for the construction of a new Performing Arts Center.
Other campaign facility projects, which have been completed in this campaign, include the construction of two new turf fields for soccer and lacrosse, STEM labs for Lower and Middle School classes and the renovation of the Sonawalla Center for Global Learning.
“Wardlaw-Hartridge takes pride in providing a complete education, emphasizing academics, athletics and the arts. We need outstanding facilities to support each of these aspects,” said Randy Rogers, a 1981 alumnus of the school, parent of two W-H graduates and Board of Trustees member, during a reception held on Nov. 22.
“Thanks to the generosity of alumni, parents and friends, we already have new labs and turf fields. Now, we need a performing arts center to complete this picture.”
Ted Osborne, the Board of Trustees president and a 1971 alumnus of the school, unveiled architectural renderings of the new Performing Arts Center, which will include a 330-seat auditorium, stage with longer wings, scene shop, dressing rooms and control room.
“I know that when we provide a Performing Arts Center, our students will rise to new heights and our program will grow in its offerings and in its quality,” said Andrew Webster, head of school. “Imagine how much richer their performances can be in our new Performing Arts Center.”
