EDISON — The township will celebrate Independence Day starting at 5:30 p.m. July 4 at Papaianni Park, with live music and a fireworks show.
Live music will be provided by the Tequila Rose Band and Black Rose. Food vendors and children’s rides will also be featured.
After the band performances, Garden State Fireworks will light up the nighttime skies at 9 p.m.
The Recreation Department recommends that people come early to get a good spot, and bring low-backed chairs or blankets. For more information, call the Recreation Department at 732-248-7312.
Papaianni Park is across from Edison Town Hall on Municipal Boulevard off Route 27.
