A new board is taking over tonight, headed by Doug Harris.
A big thank you to Ben Genek for his last two years as president, his second time in the top job. The board installation is at 6 p.m.
Have you enjoyed lunch after Saturday morning services? A lot of people have and as a result, the Women’s League and Lunch and Learn team has teamed up to provide lunch ever week. Now you can fill your Sabbath morning with prayer and your afternoon with food and fellowship.
The “Summer Sermon” series starts July 4, with a talk by former president Fred Passman. Various members will deliver the Shabbat sermons for 10 weeks, ending Sept. 5.
Dr. Stephen Morse, winner of the “Outstanding Contribution Award” from the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies, will address the Genealogy Club on Thursday, July 9, at 7:30 p.m. He will talk about the Julian calendar and why we need to know about it.
It may be summer, but Rabbi Kornsgold will talk about the Jewish holidays on Mondays July 27 and Aug. 10 at 8:30 p.m.
For your August calendar, the seniors invite you to their summer opera program called “Opera’s Bad Girls and Their Victims.” The program will be held Sunday, Aug. 2, at 3 p.m.
Also for August, “Shabbat on the Lake” will take place on Friday, Aug. 14, at 6 p.m. The service will be held in Robbinsville at the gazebo on Lake Drive. Please bring your own chair or blanket. In case of rain, the service will be held in the Robbinsville Senior Center at 1117 Route 130.
By the way, an open house will be held the next day at the synagogue. Please make sure to invite prospective members to the synagogue.
Matt Erman is raising money to build three picnic tables as part of his Boy Scout Eagle Scout project. Any extra funds will be donated to Beth El.
The Holy Rollers need help. It’s the group responsible for the care and upkeep of the Torah Scrolls. Call the office if you can help.
Among other events, Tisha B’Av services are Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26.
“Torah and Teas” with the Rabbi will be held July 27, Aug. 10 and Aug. 31.
The Monday meetings begin at 1:30 p.m.
