GRADUATIONS: College grads share their news

Russell Spruill graduated May 18 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine with a doctor of medical dentistry degree.
The 2006 Hillsborough High School graduate got a bachelor of arts degree in 2010 from Columbia University.
Russell was president of the Student National Dental Association and was a mentor in the Randolph Leadership Program.
He begins a one-year residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick in July.
Lauren Donnellan of Hillsborough earned her bachelor of science degree in business administration during University of Vermont commencement ceremonies in Burlington on May 17.
She was among 2,975 students awarded a variety of degrees — undergraduate, graduate and M.D. National Public Radio legal affairs correspondent Nina Totenberg delivered the address.
Megan Daly of Hillsborough graduated cum laude from the University Honors Program at Seton Hall University with a bachelor of arts in psychology.
Megan, a Hillsborough High School graduate in 2011, is enrolled in the master’s degree program at Seton Hall to obtain her M.S. in experimental psychology in behavioral neuroscience.
Nicholas Ackerman, a resident of Hillsborough, was among more than 800 students from Providence (R.I.) College who received undergraduate degrees during the college’s 97th commencement on Sunday, May 17. Nicholas graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree.
The commencement address was delivered by Darlene Love, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and star of the Academy Award-winning documentary, “20 Feet From Stardom.” She received an honorary doctorate in music.
Two Hillsborough High School graduates graduated with honors from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa., during commencement ceremonies May 17.
Vincent Giralo of Hillsborough, son of Anthony and Kimberly Giralo, graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering, as well as departmental honors. A member of Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society, Vincent received the Ernest and Josephine Christensen Award as the outstanding graduate in engineering.
Andrew Ossman of Hillsborough, son of Alfred and Barbara Ossman, graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. Andrew is a member of Chi Epsilon civil engineering honor society.
Bucknell conferred 860 bachelor’s degrees.
