EAST WINDSOR — The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) selected Vinod Naidu, 15, of East Windsor, to join its organization.
The society recognizes top scholars who have demonstrated leadership, scholarship and community commitment. Vinod attends Hightstown High School and is going into his junior year this fall.
“On behalf of NSHSS, I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice and commitment that Vinod has demonstrated to achieve this exceptional level of academic excellence,” NSHSS Founder and Chairman Claes Nobel, senior member of the family that established Nobel Prizes, said. “Vinod is now a member of a unique community of scholars — a community that represents our very best hope for the future.”
Vinod, who is currently leaning towards a career in information technology, said, “I feel like it is really nice to be recognized for the hard work and dedication that I have put into my studies.”
He also plays basketball and is involved in multiple clubs in school, such as the Red Cross Club and the South Asian Club.
NSHSS President James W. Lewis said, “We are proud to provide lifetime membership to young scholars to support their growth and development. We aim to help students like Vinod build on their academic success by connecting them with unique learning experiences and resources to help prepare them for college and meaningful careers.”
Currently, there are more than 1 million society members in 160 countries. For more information about NSHSS, visit www.nshss.org.
