PLAINSBORO — A three-month-long investigation into possible prostitution at the Office Center at 666 Plainsboro Road resulted in the arrest of three people on Sept. 29, according to the Plainsboro Township Police Department.
Yuzhu Zhou, 57, of Lawrence Township, was charged with promoting prostitution and Milton Baker, 73, of Monmouth Junction, was charged with conspiracy to promote prostitution, police said. An Asian female who could not produce identification was charged with engaging in prostitution.
All three were taken to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center, where Ms. Zhou’s bail was set at $30,000 and Mr. Baker’s bail was set at $15,000. The Asian female was taken to the county jail after she failed to show identification.
The Plainsboro Township Police Department was tipped off to the possibility of prostitution at the Plainsboro Road office park by a concerned resident in July, police said. Detectives launched an investigation into the complaint. The investigation expanded into Mercer County.
Shortly after 10 a.m. Sept. 29, officers from the Plainsboro Township Police Department and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office’s Special Investigation Unit served search warrants on Ms. Zhou’s home in Lawrence and at Orange Sun Therapy at 666 Plainsboro Road, police said.
Police found three female employees and two male patrons inside the Orange Sun Therapy business. One of the female employees was identified as a prostitute who had solicited an undercover police officer earlier in September.
As a result of the investigation, police seized two vehicles and about $17,000 in cash.
