John Clearwater, managing director of the Construction Industry Advancement Program of New Jersey (CIAP of NJ), was recently awarded the 2004 Distinguished Engineering Service Award from the New Jersey Society of Progressional Engineers (NJSPE) at its annual award and installation banquet at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, New Brunswick, on June 10.

CIAP of NJ is a nonprofit trusteeship founded in 1977 by the New Jersey Asphalt Pavement Association, Utility and Transportation Contractors Association of New Jersey, and the Associated General Contractors of New Jersey.

The Dome-Tech Group, 175 May St., Edison, has added six new team members: Kevin Scully, Michael, Falkenstern, Donald Strunck, Douglas Peacock, Michael Cutrona and Prentice McCoy. This expansion comes in response to a rapid increase in demand for Dome-Tech’s specialized engineering services.

The group is a leading provider of specialized engineering and energy services. Committed to optimizing building performance, it provides commissioning, field and energy engineering, facility maintenance consulting, and design build services.

The Edison Chamber of Commerce honored seven individuals and corporations for their commitment to the community at its annual Awards Dinner at the Sheraton-Edison, Raritan Center, Edison, on June 10 from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

Award winners include:

• Beautification Award, Freeholder Stephen J. "Pete" Dalina, a Woodbridge resident.

• Community Service Award, YMCA, Edison Campus.

• Community Spirit Award, Sovereign Bank, Edison.

• Educator of the Year, Fred J. Cioci­ola, a teacher at J.P. Stevens High School, Edison.

• Entrepreneur of the Year, Stephen McCarthy, president and CEO of "Today’s Staffing," Edison.

• Member of the Year, Clarion Ho­tel, Edison.

• Scholarship Award, Milalie Francisco, Edison resident and Middlesex County College student.
