The Metuchen Public Library, 480 Middlesex Ave., will present the Herrick Ensemble in concert March 7 at 2 p.m. The free concert of classical music for flute and piano will be in the community room.
It is sponsored by the library’s board of trustees endowment fund, and made possible through a music program titled "Bringing The Great Concert Hall Music To The People."
Pianist Karen Littlefield and flautist John Herrick-Littlefield have performed in halls such as Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Recital Hall (now Weill Recital Hall) and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, all New York City, as well as the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C. Both also teach at various institutions and instruct privately.

JFVS to offer discussion group on depression
The clinical department at The Jewish & Vocational Service (JFVS) of Middlesex County, 515 Plainfield Ave., Edison, will offer a psycho-educational group focusing on depression for four Mondays at 6:30 p.m. March 22-April 19 (no meeting April 12).
