Mercer College to host
Architecture Career Day
Architecture Career Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 19 at Mercer County Community College, West Windsor. The event will be held in Kelsey Theatre, 1200 Old Trenton Road. "Design Challenge 2001" is a program conceived by faculty members from Mercer’s Architecture Program in which high school students are invited to participate in a design project for a small vacation home situated on a wooded, lakeside lot.
Student submissions will be projected on a large screen in the theater and critiqued by three architects and designers who serve on Mercer’s Architecture Advisory Commission: Michael Burns, Alan Goodheart and Patricia Moran-Totaro. The program will be followed by a question-and-answer session, and tours of the campus and architecture studios.
Participation in "Design Challenge 2001" is not a requirement for attendance. The program is open to all students, parents, guidance counselors and teachers interested in architecture. Seating is limited. To make a reservation, call (609) 586-4800, Ext. 3350.
