Jack “Giacomo” DiFresca
Mr. DiFresca, 86, of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, died Jan. 6 at University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Potenza, Italy, he immigrated to the United States from Belgium in 1950, and resided in North Jersey and South Brunswick prior to moving to Monmouth Junction. He was employed in the maintenance department at Cambridge School, South Brunswick, for 15 years, retiring 20 years ago. He was a past member of the South Brunswick Republican Party, and North Brunswick Italian American Club. He was also a former member of the Consolata Missions, Somerset, and San Alfonso Retreat House, Long Branch. He was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine in 1979. He is survived by a son, Andrew DiFresca; a daughter, Mary Jane DiFresca; two brothers; and a sister. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church, Monmouth Junction. Burial was at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Arrangements were by M.J. Anthony S. Casazza
Mr. Casazza, 85, of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, died Jan. 17 at University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Jersey City, he resided there prior to moving to Kendall Park in 2004. He was employed in the maintenance department at A. Harry Moore School, Jersey City, for 10 years. Prior to that, he was employed in the compound department at American Can Co., Jersey City, for 25 years, retiring in 1967. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the South Brunswick Senior Citizens. He is survived by his wife, Carmela Merezio Casazza; a daughter and son-in-law, Adele and Donald Benhardt Sr. of North Brunswick; and two grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, North Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. Arrangements are by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
Brenda A. D’Agostino Di Caro
Mrs. Di Caro, 54, of North Brunswick, died Jan. 18 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Plainfield, she resided in Garwood prior to moving to North Brunswick 34 years ago. She was a showroom designer at Aaron & Co., New Brunswick, the past 20 years. She is survived by her husband, Dominick C. Di Caro; two daughters, Gina and Nicole Di Caro, both of North Brunswick; her mother, Claire D’Agostino of Westfield; two brothers, Andrew D’Agostino of East Brunswick, and Frank D’Agostino of Garwood; and a sister, Susan De Maio of Cranford. Visitation will be Jan. 20 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick. A funeral service will be Jan. 21 at 8:15 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, North Brunswick. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
