South Brunswick will begin curbside brush collection on May 4. Materials must be at the curb — not in the street — by 6:30 a.m. in order to ensure collection.
Residents are asked to be patient, as the townwide collection may take more than one week.
Items that will be picked up from the curb include brush, branches, shrubs, and bushes that are less than 4 feet in length and less than 5 inches in diameter. They must be securely tied in bundles that are less than 50 pounds.
Twigs and small branches that are less than 4 feet may be placed in a container.
Bags, leaves, weeds, stumps, litter and garbage will not be accepted.
Residents may also bring brush 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Saturday to the convenience center located behind Sondek Park, 473 New Road, near the intersection of Friendship Road.
For more information or directions to Sondek Park, visit www.sbtnj.net or call 732-329-4000, ext. 7274.
