Pediatrician will be missed by many

Richard Cohen practiced pediatrics for 40 years with kindness and warmth.

Parents loved him for his caring manner and his sense of humor. The kids will always remember him for his animal balloons.

We all could see the New York Rangers poster hanging in his office. He loved working with antiques.

He graduated from Rutgers University and received his doctor of medicine from Jefferson Medical College. He was board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Cohen was a clinical professor of pediatrics at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and an attending physician at Saint Peter’s University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

His medical skills were noted by being named a Castle Connolly “Top Doctors in Pediatrics” for the last 10 years. He is survived by his wife Eileen, his two sons Matthew and Daniel, daughters-in-law Shauna and Emma, and grandson Evan.

He will not be forgotten by his fellow doctors and staff at North Brunswick Pediatrics.
