Former Hopewell Township employee
Ella Rose Force, 88, died Wednesday at home. Born in Lambertville, she was a longtime Titusville resident.
She retired after many years from the Hopewell Township Registrar and Tax Office.
She was a member of the Titusville United Methodist church, its choir and Sunday School. She was an organist and enjoyed gardening and reading.
Daughter of the late Arthur W. and Katherine L. Fisher Stout, she is survived by her husband of 66 years, Carlton E.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur C. and Thelma Force of Strasburg, Pa., and Robert W. and Anna Marie Force of Pennington; a daughter, Belle C. Weeks of Halifax, Pa.; a sister, Martha Ketaner of Morrisville, Pa.; a sister-in-law, Edith F. DeGrave of Ewing; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Titusville United Methodist Church, Route 29 and Church Road, with the Rev. William H. Jacobsen, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Titusville Methodist Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, and 10 a.m. to time of service Tuesday at the church.
